Once upon a wedding morning

Updated: Jun 15, 2023

Let’s talk wedding day timing

We have had a few questions around timing for a wedding day and thought I would give an example from a recent wedding of 5 people at Gabbinbar Homestead.

People often ask how long does hair take per person and it can vary. Please keep in mind that as specialists in upstyling our timing is often alot faster than a salon visit but we do allow extra time when we set you timing at booking. This will give you an idea on what happens;

8.45am

set up at venue at 8.45

9am

Ceremony rehearsal.

9.15am

We allow an hour per person to include consultation, stoppage time, food and toilet breaks. full consultation with bridesmaids, mum and bride and discuss any changes from trial if needed. Consultation includes parts, if hair holds curl and more.

10.20am

Completed two bridesmaids with ponytails and completed half the brides hair by 10.20am We show each person the back during the process and discuss any changes.

10.45am

We stopped for the bride to check bouquets

11am

Charcuterie board delivered to eat

11.30am

I completed another bridesmaid ponytail and mothers formal blow dry by 11.30am

12 noon

I tidied some of my equipment while party eating and relaxing and called for touch ups including veil and mums fascinator

12.15pm

Doing final touch ups and even when finishing each person we ask “Is there anything you wish to change?” To ensure you are comfortable to make changes

12.30pm

Pack up and leave by 12.30 to allow for photos and time to relax and enjoy venue

Please remember we are efficient with our time because we have many years of experience and many years of training to do so. I train my team in my techniques and timing to ensure your wedding day is stress free!

So as you can see we can fit alot in a wedding morning and this is why it is so important to be aware of timing set. We set the tone for the day and want to make sure you are relaxed and enjoy this part of your special day!!!
